This building, more than a century old, was inaugurated in 1913. It was designed by the architect Rafael González Villar and was named in honour of King Alfonso XIII to commemorate his visit to the city.

It was once a café, festival hall and cinema. The cinema screen split the hall in two, and spectators who watched the film backwards paid less. Turned into an exhibition hall in 1982, it retains the original and fantastic decoration of the façade, with iron dragons created by the Wonenburger foundry.

Throughout the year, it hosts important exhibitions such as the annual comic book fair, Festival Viñetas desde o Atlántico.
