Picasso and Riazor Beach

Next to the park of Santa Margarita, they used to play-fight with stones. On the beaches of Riazor and Orzán, they entertained themselves dodging the waves.

These were the settings of the childhood games Picasso played with his friends Constantino Sardina Muíños and Antonio Pardo Reguera.

Riazor beach was also where the young Picasso first discovered female nudity, peeping through the keyhole of a bathing hut.

Recommendations

Before getting in the water, check the depth and do not dive headfirst into shallow areas.
