The Venerable Third Order is a chapel adjoining the former convent of San Francisco, where Emperor Charles I held a Spanish Court in 1520.

Horario:

Attention to parishioners: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 h. to 13:00 h. and from 17:00 h. to 21:00 h.

Masses: Monday to Saturday at 20:00 h. Sunday and holidays at 12:30 h. Fourth Sunday of each month at 12:30 h. and 20:00 h.

This building was built in 1743 based on plans by the architect Simón Rodríguez from Santiago de Compostela. The only vestige of the old Convent of San Francisco in its original location is the 16th-century bell tower (with elements from the 13th century). Notable artwork inside includes sculptures of San Francisco receiving the embrace of Christ, an image of Jesus of Nazareth and the carving of the body and legs of Saint Louis, King of France.
