Breogan, 1995 (Xosé Cid, Ourense, 1951)
Situated in the centre of the roundabout that has taken his name, before the start of the ramp leading to the Tower of Hercules, stands the sculpture of Breogan. This granite piece represents the Celtic chieftain, son of Brath, to whom the founding of Brigantia (ancient A Coruña), and the construction of the tower before it, is attributed. The figure of Breogan links the monument to the mythological origins of the Irish people.
